As soon as configurations are confirmed, click on “Collation” tab.
Click on “Customize”, select the “SQL Collation, used for backwards compatibility” and finally choose “SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS”. Click “Next”.
Select “Windows Authentication Mode”. You must as well add at least one administrators to the DB, you can either add the current user or as per the example, add an AD group. The AD group can ease the management of administrative users instead of nesting a user
Set reporting Services to “Install only”
Set reporting preferences and click Next and then click “Install” to start the installation process.
As soon as the installation process is completed, open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Go to “Properties” of the SQL Server
set the RAM limit to 50% of total RAM or if you have enough RAM, set the limit to 8 GB in order to avoid warning during Configuration Manager Setup.
Both maximum and minimum value have to be set.
Et voila, your Database setup is ready for Configuration Manager Setup !
